EU-wide: regulations such as the GDPR, and directives such as the ePrivacy and e-Commerce Directives, which each member state transposes into its own law.
Planned service
Compliance readiness, by jurisdiction
Data-protection and online-business rules differ between the EU, the United Kingdom and individual countries. TrustNeva gathers the public evidence a review needs and matches it to the markets your website serves.
What we observe on your website
- Whether pages link to a privacy notice, cookie information, operator details, terms and an accessibility statement.
- Analytics and advertising tags in your pages, and whether a consent-management tool is present.
- Tracking cookies set by your server before a visitor could give or refuse consent.
- What could not be decided automatically – listed as "needs manual review", never guessed.
What this is not
Public website checks cannot establish compliance with the GDPR or any other law. A report flags missing evidence and the matters that need manual or legal review. It is not legal advice, a formal audit or a certification.
Three layers of rules
National: rules that apply in one country – for example the UK GDPR and PECR in the United Kingdom, or company-information requirements in a member state.
Sector-specific: obligations that depend on what you do, such as e-commerce, healthcare or financial services.
Markets you can select for a website
Ireland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the United Kingdom and any other EU member state. Pakistan will be added once its applicable rules have been researched and reviewed. The catalogue is extensible.
Only reviewed rules are applied
A rule is used in customer reports only after it has been reviewed and given a version and a review date. Each report lists the rule versions it used – or says plainly that no reviewed rule was available for a market yet. Rules are reviewed again periodically.
Which rules apply to you
Applicability depends on your business activities, the markets your website serves, the personal data you process and your sector – not only on where your company is registered. You declare these for each website; only reviewed rules that match are shown in your report.
